Death of my colege friend Laxuman Gurung

Its been a very sad moment for me when Shira told me yesterday that one of my best friend from Gangtok, Laxuman Gurung, died. When(?) she also could not tell. I tried to contact many of my friends but no one could be contacted. Laxuman, shekhar and myself joined Sikkim Government College in 1987 in Scinece stream. Laxuman was Botany Hons student, Shekhar pure science amd ,myself Zoology hons. We all three finished our high school from St. George's High School, Pedong. Shekhar could not complete his graduation so he went to Delhi in 1989 and from that day onwards I have not heard from him nor about him. I also didn't complete my honours and started working as a teacher in a remote village of South Sikkim named Vok as a science teacher. similarly Laxuman too started to work as a science teacher in south sikkim. Laxuman married Tabita from Algarah in ( ?). They were in deep love since their high school days. They have two daughters. Laxuman you were a great guy and a true friend indeed. I remember the days of college we three spent. Remember how we used to save Rs. 15 each every week and on Friday spend the amount.Go to college in College Bus, then from there spending 15 take taxi and go to market, 15 rupees for the video and 15 for the thukpa. We were mad. We never chose to be born and can never choose to die too. But today I am thinking what are we leaving behind? How do the people remember us? I believe the people of the place where you taught must be remembering you as good teacher, students must be missing you a lot. You have left a vacuum. what about your Tabitha. Your two daughters (one physically challenged). Your daughter are small and will forget in due time. But your wife with whom you spent such a long time... every ahat in the house will remind her about you, every calling will resemble your call to your wife. I am missing you a lot. You were not even 40. How did you die? Why did you die?
